Access to Renewable and Industrial Infrastructure

The Telemark region is one of Norway’s largest producers of clean renewable energy through the production of hydropower. As of today, the region has a surplus supply of stable renewable power.

The region and the industrial parks in particular have a strong industrial infrastructure with:

• highly specialised ports including fully intermodal general cargo port
• ferry connections to Denmark, both from Brevik and Larvik
• two-way railway network with good connections to Oslo and a planned connection between the Sørlandsbanen and Vestfoldbanen
good road connections to both Oslo and the south (Sørlandet)
• Sandefjord Torp International Airport
