Grenland Havn IKS

Skien, Porsgrunn and Bamble municipalities organize their maritime activities in a joint venture, which is the Port of Grenland. We manage the communal sea areas in accordance with the Ports and Waterways Act, and count 18 employees.

Our mission is to further develop as one of Norway’s most important ports by facilitating regional trade and industry, and sustainable transportation.

We aim to provide long-term stable conditions for trade and industry that rely on sea shipping. This is crucial to attract new businesses to our region. Sea transport is environmentally friendly, and providing modern port infrastructure is a precondition for developing “green” industry
