SCG is a leading industrial conglomerate with over 55,000 employees in Southeast Asia, engaged in a wide range of manufacturing activities, including plastic raw materials, cement, paper, and packaging. While headquartered in Bangkok, the company has established numerous collaborations, ownerships, and gradually expanding international offices to ensure growth through sustainable innovation and business. SCGC is the petrochemical business of SCG with the major production sites in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. The strategy is strong growth in high value-added polymers within Polyethylene, Polypropylene and PVC. During the last years there has been a strong drive expanding and growing within green polymers and decarbonisation solutions also acquiring assets in Europe within mechanical recycling of plastics.

SCGC is represented in Norway with their own office – SCGN – based in Powerhouse Porsgrunn. As part of their expansion efforts, SCGC is also the owner of the plastic innovation company Norner AS, located in Porsgrunn.. SCGN’s goal is to provide strategic leadership in global alliances and through partnerships and networking, drive SCGs ambitions in decarbonisation and circularity.
